We’ve been relatively shit-free since I complained about T’s disgusting new habit. I may be jinxing myself here, but aside from cleaning dried feces that I’d somehow missed off of the wall going up the back stairs (it could have been mud or chocolate, but I tend to assume the worst) and fresh feces off of his hand during a diaper change, he’s been good enough to keep his little hands out of his diaper.
But his new habit is also unsavory. The new thing is that he likes to put food in his mouth and leave it there for a very long time. Until it dissolves. At which point he opens his mouth and lets it drip down to the floor. Are girls this disgusting?

I hate to say this, but yes.
Natalie does the same “chipmunk” eating thing. Now the playing with doo doo thing.. that may be just males… at least I’d like to believe so.

My daughter is actually MORE messy than my son was, at this age, but that said, my son has some sensory issues, so he wasn’t overly messy with eating, and he was all business when it came to meal times. She on the other hand, takes her meals apart, feeds the dog, tosses it on the floor, feeds us. She’s a total mess when she eats and she REFUSES to keep a bib on, so she’s always got stained clothes. Not disgusting, just messy.

Today Madeleine picked her nose, wiped the results on Violet, who laughed with sheer joy. Mad chuckled and said, “V just loves boogers.” This is the height of humor in my house, and it’s three girls to one boy. So.
