Wait, we're supposed to have sex again? My son is four months old, and, seriously? Any precious free time is spent catching up with sleep or feverishly doing things around the house. Mr. K hasn't minded, so far. That's what he SAYS, anyway.

Six weeks is the norm? My flabby post-partum ass, it is.

Well, we tried at like 7 weeks. And OUCHIE OUCHIE OUCHIE. And so nix on that. Then we tried at 8 weeks and DOUBLE THE TRIPLE OUCHIE. (I am eloquent today, remind me to tell you about my inability to alphabetize for some reason - wait, don't, it's BORING). Anyway. So then I put a moratorium on the procedure for two weeks. At 10 weeks-ish we reconvened. And there was some discomfort and it wasn't altogether pleasant, but by golly, the procedure was reconvened! Now it is way better. The end.

I don't even want to think about sex yet. I would guess that Mr. Doodlebug already has.

If I had just had a baby I don't think I'd want to have The Sex EVER AGAIN, but that's just me.

And I love hearing about what the white trash mamas are up to, too.

Oh, thank you for the white trash update! Thrills my voyeuristic little heart.

After first baby.... waited a very long time, don't remember how long. I'd had a pretty traumatic delivery with forceps and episiotomy that went to you-don't-want-to-know-where. Second and third baby waited seven weeks after, which is when the lochia stopped.

I *meant* to comment on your sleeping posts, but, ummm... well, you know how that goes. I had good intentions. Just go with what works for YOU and YOUR family. Here we cosleep until around 8 months then transition to the crib in another room. It's just what works easiest with breastfeeding and my husband's insane need for baby snuggle time. But that's just us.

My baby is 4 1/2 months old and we've only done the "procedure" LOL .. twice. And both times it hurt like hell. Well, actually the second time it just hurt. We waited when James was 3 months old to try and that was also due to my neverending bleeding. I bled for 3 months straight after James was born. Yet you always hear, "6 weeks is the norm". Whatevah...lol
