Stupid laptop’s going back to the shop today. Freezing and going black AGAIN. They’ve replaced the motherboard three times now. If they have to replace it this time I supposedly get a new laptop. With my luck, it’s not a motherboard thing this time around. Do I have any legal rights with this stupid fucking extended warranty?

wow- you would think they would be doing anything they could to get you a new computer. What brand is it?
And, after so many appts like that - I think, especially since you have that extended warranty - I’d demand a new computer. That’s craziness!

Toshiba Satellite. This thing sucks. Aside from replacing the motherboard 3 times they’ve also replaced the CD drive and one of the fans.

Yes - I believe it’s time they give you a new one. Pronto. Demand!
There is NOTHING more frustrating when your computer goes down, especially if you use it regularily. Or, if you’ve had it in the shop more than the time you use it.
Good luck!

unfortunately the extended warranty is through compusa but not owned by compusa. I take it there and they’re incredibly nice and apologetic, but they have nothing to do with whether or not the warranty company will replace it.
