To Do
1. Refinish or paint trash-picked mirrors and hang them
2. refinish or paint vanity and move upstairs
3.get extra computer out of the office into parlorleaving it in office, but it's off of the floor and F is using it.
4. learn to use a sewing machine again since the first time didn't take. registered for a sewing class!
5. Improve my bedroom. It looks like shit:
a.get bedroom furniture for clothing storage
b.replace bedroom art
c. get a rug for the bedroom
d. curtains
6. hang pictures in baby's room
7. refinish or paint dresser in baby's room and replace the hardware
8.curtains in baby's room
9.reorganize storage in baby's room
10.reorganize upstairs closets
11. frame unframed pics in F's room
12. replace crappy ceiling fixtures in upstairs parlor and F's room
13.organize books by color
14. reorganize/declutter laundry room storage
15.figure out a way to make the office less of an eyesore and more of a usable spaceokay, so this is impossible without a complete overhaul- I'd have to remove the built-ins for the room not to suck. But I reorganized the shelves and cabinets.

I was JUST talking about the return of pegged jeans! (Peg roll- in my mind, French roll is a classic up-do hairstyle) It actually was a flattering look for my short legs, plus I didn’t have to shorten my jeans, either. This could be the start, or rather, return, of something good.

We definitely called this “pegging” your pants!!! I can’t believe it came back. Soon they’ll be pegging them up even higher and wearing multicolored slouch socks underneath. Or was that only in my neck of the woods?

I can not believe pegged pants are coming back! I loved the style in the 80s, but I don’t think I’ll be conforming this time around.

Slouch socks ruled. My mom would never buy them for me so I had to covet other peoples. It must have been pretty bulky wearing three different colors at a time. Did people have to go up a shoe size?

I don’t remember having to buy my shoes a size up, but then I never really could pull off more than 2 pairs of slouch socks. Maybe the girls who wore 3 or 4 had to buy their shoes big. Ah, slouch socks!!!

We called them French rolled jeans in Ohio. I was only allowed to wear two pairs of socks. My mom thought three was tacky. Because two is totally normal.

Yeah, we definitely did the layering slouch sock (as bright as you could get them) technique in my “neck of the woods” for sure (you weren’t the only one Katie!!)
It’s really weird to see it come back.

Incidentally, I got my hair cut this weekend and the stylist cut my bangs in the style that was popular around the same time as these pegged jeans. Let’s just say that some things were meant to stay in the past.

Man all I can think is that she needs to eat a sandwich. Her hair is cute though. I think Tom Cruise must have a few things wrong with him.
